Dr. Faryal Farshadi
Dr. Farshadi received her dental surgeon degree from Boston University in 1999 and spent two years as an associate in Massachusetts and Texas before returning to Canada. She opened her first practice in 2001 and has run this Richmond Hill office since 2010. She has been registered and in good standing with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario since July 2001.
She treats every patient herself, including all cleanings and scaling — there is no rotating roster of associates or hygienists here. First visits are 40 minutes; recall appointments are 30.

How the practice works
Practice philosophy
-
Preventive
Treat the cause, not the symptom
A strong partnership with each patient, and a focus on why a problem happened rather than only what it looks like today. Regular home and professional care is the point.
-
Progressive
A broad range of treatment
A wide spectrum of care aimed at the long term benefit of the patient, kept current through continuing education.
-
Humanistic
Two way conversation
Plain explanations and a real conversation, so you can take part in decisions about your own treatment instead of receiving them.
The office
Three operatories on Highway 7
The practice occupies Unit 211 in a large professional and retail plaza at Highway 7 and Leslie, alongside a pharmacy, a bank, restaurants and family doctors. Parking is free and plentiful, there is a bus stop at the entrance, and the unit is listed on the lobby directory.
Instruments and handpieces are sterilised between every patient using universal technique, verified with biological indicators.
