Call the clinic and describe the problem. We are open every day from 10 AM to 7 PM and hold time for emergencies. If we cannot help you here, we will tell you where to go.
Go to hospital instead
Swelling that affects your breathing, swallowing or vision, a jaw you cannot close, uncontrolled bleeding, or an injury with a head impact needs an emergency department, not a dental office. Call 911 or go to the nearest hospital.
Before you arrive
General first aid, not a diagnosis. Phone us either way — what you do in the first hour can decide whether a tooth is saved.

Knocked out tooth
Keep it moist
Hold it by the crown, never the root. Rinse gently with water — do not scrub. Keep it in milk, saline or your own saliva and come straight in.

Broken tooth
Save the pieces
Rinse your mouth with warm water and bring any fragments with you. A cold compress on the outside of the cheek helps the swelling.

Toothache
Cold, not heat
A cold compress outside the cheek, and over the counter pain relief you normally tolerate. Do not put aspirin or oil directly on the gum.

Lost crown or filling
Protect the tooth
Keep the crown if it came off in one piece and bring it. Avoid chewing on that side and skip anything very hot, cold or sweet.
How the visit works
Three steps, one visit
- Call or walk in Tell us what hurts and how long it has been going on. We will tell you honestly whether we can see you today.
- Assessment with imaging Digital X-rays and, where needed, a panoramic image are taken on site, so the diagnosis happens in the same appointment.
- Treat or relieve We treat what can be treated that day and settle the pain. Anything that needs a specialist gets a referral and a plan before you leave.
Paying for it
Fees and insurance
- Fees follow the current Ontario Dental Association fee guide, updated annually. No membership fees and no premium emergency surcharge.
- We accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).
- For scheduled treatment we bill most insurers directly, so you pay only your portion.
- Emergency visits are paid in full at the time of service and we submit the claim on your behalf for reimbursement.
- Debit and all major credit cards accepted. We do not accept postdated cheques.
